there are a few reasons to use SEM (ads / banners )
this is not in order
- SEO takes time. SEM puts you on page 1 for the keywords till the SEO reaches high places
- SEO will not get you results for all the key words you imagine. SEO can focus on some key words and SEM will go after other key words
- not all traffic comes from search engines. your focus should be on “stealing eye balls”. here is an example:
if you are a dentist and this web site http://www.childrendentists.com/ gets a lot of quality traffic (by quality traffic i mean the same “eye balls” you want ) then you want to “steal” their eye balls by putting a banner here. this way all the web visitors will see your banner and might come to your web site.
- SEM allows you to shift potential clients. for example, if someone is looking for Coca Cola, Pepsi might put an SEM campaign to say “Pepsi is better”. even if the Pepsi web site does not say that, the banner can say that.

I am using Clickbank`s online market to choose “hoplinks” and than after getting them i copy and past it into Google Adwords were the/my advertising campaign begins.But do i have to get any specific “sign up affiliate conditions”with the seller (business online website) in order to be get payed? I know that I won’t get a check right away if I don’t have a lot of traffic.
I know that I won’t recieve a check for each month if my monthly income does not amount to $100.
I know that I may recieve as little as one cent per click/view.
I know that my income will be reported to the IRS if it is over $600 a year and I will therefore have to pay taxes.
I know that I have to be 18 or older to sign up, otherwise I should have a parent or someone I can trust with my money sign up for me.
What are some other things I should know? I want to know the things that people who have used Google AdSense have learned from experience.

have a brand new website (went live last night) and I dont know much about SEO etc. I have seen websites that say they will write an article about you website and submit it to lots of websites and directories plus build links and submit website to SEO link friendly websites… it it worth doing this? have done everything you can imagine. I have an Acer Aspire 5002 laptop w/ Verizon DSL. 2 other computers in the house get online w/out problems. Ive unplugged the modem, pinged the addresses, etc. Last week it worked fine, then a few days ago it only worked with the ethernet cable plugged in, now nothing works. It says my connection is excellent but when i click Internet Explorer it says “page cannot be displayed”. I even did a system restore & a system recovery. Im hoping its just a setting or something isnt configured right. I tried Verizon. They dont want to help b/c the signal is fine. I tried Acer support but my laptop is out of warranty & they wont even give me hint unless I pay per minute. Any info is GREATLY APPRECIATED. Or any sites that offer good tech support. Even if I cant fix it, I would like ideas on what it could be?

I work as a Marketing Executive for an in-house Sales & Marketing department. Although a small company in terms of staff, it delivers services nationally to some major clients. My role involves marketing and graphic/web design. These are my main duties:

• Management of business partner relationships (2 major mobile network providers)

Although I don’t hold a marketing qualification, I have now been in the job for 2 years and get positive feedback from my employer. I earn £14.5k basic + bonus. Despite promises otherwise, the bonus scheme is barely worthwhile – weighing in at £200 quarterly (before tax).
