Can I Use A Cingular 8125 Pocket Pc To Wirelessly Connect My Desktop Computer To The Internet?
PPC November 1st, 2009I have a roommate with a cingular 8125 ppc. i have a desktop computer with no way to connect to the internet. i want to know if there is anyway to connect his phone to my computer and be able to browse the internet with my computer.

Yes you can use the 8125 to do this but be aware of 3 things: 1.) Internet will not be very fast 2.) he must have $59.99 laptop connect plan on the 8125 3.) any phone calls received will interrupt web browsing. You are better off getting Internet access for your computer. If you attempt to use the phone as a modem, the amount of data being used will flag that it’s being used as such and your friend will be charged for it.
