I am running my home online store which I have never advertise on google.
If you want to wasted your $$ to compete with other on ad on google. Tough luck to you.
I try different ways to get my site as high as possible on all major search engine. Yahoo and MSN acting differently. Only 20% of my customers are from Google and 100% of them are from the search results.
To get on top on any search engines, you need to have tons of web site to link to your web site. It’s matter of backlinks to your site.
It takes time to build up those links. I join forum, user groups, yahoo 360, creating blog, posting press release and answer question heres. Creating my own web directory and support some target groups which potential be my customers.
I have done a lot of works to make my site get on top of the search engines.
There are so many free web directories. Just be aware of some bad dogs. One site is good is they don’t use category to lis your site. It’s keyword based. It’s free and pretty new. Check out http://www.findmypages.com

You can sign up for either AdWords or AdSense.
AdWords- you pay for ads that you want other websites that will link to your site.
AdSense- you put other websites’ ads while getting paid for each time they get clicked.

You have a choice, you can either use Adwords which is expensive or you can make sure your site is optimized for organic search.

Pay per click advertising is that you pay each time someone clicks on your ad. You dont have to pay when its shown, only when someone clicks it and goes to your website, hence the name pay per click . Well, I think you have to pay but I’m not sure, try typing in ”Advertizing on google” It will give you a link.

don’t pay for it…getting top listing naturally is the best way to be hugely successfull, if you weant that…then its a no brainer, pick this up quick before it goes away, and theya re almost out of the limited copies….seriously, this is buzzworthy
