   Search engines work by trying to display the most relevant results for any given search term. They will rank the pages from what they consider the most relevant to the least relevant using a proprietary algorithm.
   SEO works because users rarely go beyond the first page of the search results. By SEOing and making sure that each page of your website is determined as relevant by the search engine algorithms it will appear high in the search results and more users will see it.

   I wouldn’t go and run to put ads on your site. Ads can make whatever you site is about seem spammy. If you have a site with content and no real meaning, your site may come across as a MFAS – Made For AdSense site. It may be flagged by the engines.
