While Google doesn’t publish exactly what they make for each click through, it’s been approximated to be about 50% of the price that the advertiser is paying for the click for that keyword.
For example, if the keyword is DUI Attorney and the advertiser is bidding $5.00 per click, then the Adsense publisher (the one who has the ads on their web site) will make approx $2.50 and Google gets approximately $2.50. This does vary as sometimes Google charges the advertiser less than they bid. Still, Google would get approximately 50% of the lower charge to the advertiser.
Hope this helps.

it actually depends on the ad and the keyword which forms the basis of the ad.
google never revealed the figure or the ratio in which it pays the publishers for each click and the amount it charges for the advertisers for each click.
But i think they charges and pays in the ratio 2:8
this means that if they charges $1 from someone then keep with themselves 80cents and pays 20 cents to the publisher of the website.
SO try to include in your website high paying keywords which has a minimum payout of around $2-3 per click.

The advertiser sets the price they’re willing to pay, and the highest bidder gets the top sponsored ad spot, followed by second highest et cetera.
If you call up a sales rep at the Super Pages web site actually and schmooze with them a little bit, they can send you line of URL code that you can edit to actually show the prices for given keywords
A typical industry for reasonable business-cycle durable goods is usually about 38 cents a click, but I’ve seen them go as low as 12 cents (not to mention many topics with no sponsored advertising) and as high as seventy cents for capital equipment, two dollars for consumer crap like dating sites, and sometimes six dollars for a popular fad.
