Yes don’t go for that I mean don’t put Adsense Ads on your Software, your account will be disabled. Although you can use Adsense Ads to generate $ in your blog posts, websites etc etc.

Yes it very much is against the TOS. I believe most of them don’t like it. Although I would check their TOS just to be sure. Your best option would be to sign up to affiliate programs like pay per action or pay per sale etc they would allow it because they don’t have to worry about click fraud.
