I know its an easy way to make a few extra bucks but it seems to me that there is also a downside. You are surrendering some valuable Real Estate on your Web page and perhaps diluting the Sales pitch of your site. It has been said many times that if you don’t grab the users attention in the first few seconds of entering your site you have probably lost them. If your first priority is getting customers, is it really worth diverting their attention with other Ad space? Opinions?
