I am using it. I pay .13 per click. My business is pretty specialized, and I have advertised it in a lot of other ways besides the sponsored search. You only get charged the per click fee if someone uses Yahoo!’s search engine and then clicks on the site through the one they have on the sponsor side of the page. I almost never use Yahoo!’s search engine, I use Google or MSN. I have my site linked to other sites and it comes up in a keyword search in 5-8 of the top 10 hits on all 3 search engines.
The good thing about doing this is that Yahoo! put my site at the top of their page right away.
I don’t have a high traffic sales type of business, so my investment was a $10 deposit into the per click account. Yahoo! refunded my research fee, and I pay $12.90/month for web hosting.

Yes, if you use targeted advertising for your keywords and have a good product at a good price this will make money.
The people who complain about a lack of ROI have bad conversion techniques. This is a specialized skill. Not everyone can write good sales copy (but they can blame a PPC system for their own failings!).
If you don’t feel up to the challenge of writing sales copy that will convert your visitors into customers, hire someone to write it for you.
Good Luck.

Yahoo! pay per click service is one of the best advertising values you can purchase. Originally started as Overture about 6 years ago, it provides an excellent way to bring targeted traffic to your site. You only pay when you get the result (a click), and then you set the price you will pay. So this is a no brainer. You can get started for as little as $50.00. Of course you have to have a good site and product or any advertising you do will be wasted or at worse even degrade your company.
